Patricia Inness Royall
Patricia comes to the Chamber with over 20 years of non-profit arts administration experience having served as the Executive Director of The Chocolate Church in Bath and Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance in Brunswick. While Executive Director at the Chocolate Church, Patricia created and produced the first "Concert in the Yard" at Bath Iron Works Corporation, bringing in the Atlantic Clarion Steel Drum Band to play inside the Yard for over 10,000 BIW employees. She later produced an art exhibit at the Chocolate Church to showcase the works of BIW artists. Patricia also served as the Marketing & Development Director for the Maine State Music Theatre in Brunswick and the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, as well as PR/Advertising Associate for WOODENBOAT Magazine. Patricia has owned, managed and curated two art galleries, in Brunswick and Richmond, where she represented over 45 local artists. She is a former Rotarian, and for the past seven years has served on the Cancer Council and Patient Advisory Council for MaineGeneral Health. Prior to joining the Chamber, Patricia spent the past eight years as Sales and Marketing Director for Tilbury House Publishers marketing children's picture books to the education market.
She is a former Miss Windjammer (1969) and spent her summers as a young girl growing up on Ocean Point. Patricia's favorite hobbies include gardening, beachcombing, cooking, music, and the arts. She is a former soloist and cast member of the international singing group Up With People. Patricia's family has been part of the Boothbay Harbor area since the late 1800s and very much a part of the rich fabric of the Region.

John originally hails from London, England, and relocated to Maine in the early 90’s. Along with his wife and young son, he just returned from a 2 year sabbatical in Costa Rica where they immersed themselves in the lifestyle & culture of Central America. They decided to make their new home in the Midcoast region, looking for a quiet but progressive school district for their son. John brings considerable marketing experience to our chamber members with a focus on expanding and modernizing our message through all outlets, including social media, newsletters, web, video, podcasts etc.
John has worked in marketing and design for over 30 years - running his own agency in Portland, and spending many years working in the non-profit field. He is also an avid musician, having played in a number of bands in the area, as well as producing and arranging several albums for other artists. John is firm in the belief that everyone can be creative, and that tapping into our specific creative outlet is one of the keys to long term fulfillment.
In his spare time, John is also an avid photographer and he enjoys documenting his travels all over the world.
Visitor Services Coordinator
Laura Francis was born and raised in the Boothbay Harbor Region and received her education through the Boothbay Region school system. Laura’s history, her commitment to our community and her in-depth knowledge of the area make her the perfect Ambassador to represent Boothbay and Midcoast Region. Laura will serve as the Visitor Services Coordinator at the Chamber’s new Midcoast Visitor Information Center located on Route One just north of the Wiscasset bridge.
Laura is in her own right an accomplished chef with a sterling reputation for food service and hospitality management in the Boothbay Region. She has worked for a number of properties including Newagen Seaside Inn, Spruce Point Inn, Linekin Bay Resort, Harborside Tavern, Ocean Point Inn and Brown Brothers in both management and in the culinary arts. Laura also owns her own catering business “The Gallery” Gathering and Events.
Laura has strong ties to the Boothbay Region and proudly gives back to the community through her involvement with the YMCA, The Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club, the Boothbay Harbor Congregational Church and the St. Andrews Hospital Free Bed Fund. Laura served as a past Board Member of our Chamber.
Laura is married to Steve Francis and they have two children, Adam and Avery and one grandchild, Jordan. In Laura’s spare time she enjoys sewing, restoring furniture, gardening, walking around town, cooking for pleasure and embracing family time.
Visitor Services Coordinator
Linda comes from a background in higher education, having taught at the college level for over thirty five years. An avid fiber enthusiast, she earned two degrees in textiles and design. This led to a business in Newport, RI, where she made and marketed a line of hand printed women’s apparel. As a teacher, having the summers off led to other business ventures, mainly designing, creating, and selling knitted apparel and accessories.
A midlife switch led to a doctoral degree in Adult and Vocational Education, with the belief that lifelong learning is essential for everyone for personal and professional growth.
Linda was born in Maine, and last year purchased a cottage on the water and returned to her roots. Part of the draw of Maine was the community of fiber enthusiasts/artists, and all the talents and entrepreneurial spirit they embody. In addition, she pals around with her 91 year old Dad, checking out all the sheep and goat farms. But her happy time is in her yarn studio overlooking the Sheepscot Harbor, where there is an explosion of hand dyed yarn – certainly a “room with a hue”.
In the past decade, she has spent summers in Edgecomb. Favorite moments are spent puttering on the water on a 110 year old vintage scallop boat, “Lily”- small in size bit big on character.
