Custodian
Overview
Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences is seeking a dependable individual to join the facilities department as a full-time, year-round Custodian at the lab in East Boothbay, Maine. The Custodian will clean the laboratories, offices, residence space, and common areas, as well as assist with other facilities projects when needed. This position comes with flexible hours; some evening and weekend work will be required with advance notice. The salary band is $16-$22/hour, and Bigelow offers a generous benefits package including health insurance, retirement contribution, paid time off, and professional development.
Requirements
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Aptitude to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Be comfortable with basic computer operations
- Ability to work harmoniously with the team
