How to Get to Boothbay Harbor:

If you do decide to come by bus, by train or by boat and need a ride while you are here, there are several local taxi companies that would be more than happy to take you where you need to go.

Coming from south of Maine:

  • Take I-95 N toward N. H. /MAINE (Portions toll). This is also the Maine Turnpike.
  • Merge onto I-295 N via EXIT 52 toward Falmouth.
  • Merge onto ME-196 S via EXIT 31 toward TOPSHAM/LISBON (2.79 miles)
  • Merge onto US-1 N toward BATH. (18.68 miles)
  • Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto ME-27/BOOTHBAY RD. Continue to follow ME-28. (11.1 miles)

Amtrak Downeaster
The Amtrak Downeaster stops in Brunswick and new for 2014 from July through October on weekends it will connect to Maine Eastern Railroad (1-866-637-2457) with stops in Brunswick, Bath, Wiscasset, Newcastle and Rockland. A shuttle will be available to take passengers from Newcastle to Boothbay Harbor.
