Paint Wiscasset & Beyond Plein Air Event
Paint Wiscasset & Beyond will highlight 20 juried plein air artists from throughout Maine. Artists will paint at least one painting within the town of Wiscasset, but are free to paint anywhere in Lincoln County for the duration of the event.
The plein air event will run for 28 days from June 12 to July 9.
Plein Air painting will begin the morning of June 12 with registration and drop off of dry paintings.
On June 17 there will be a “wet” painting public reveal reception and sale from 4pm to 7pm. The Paint Wiscasset & Beyond Plein
Air Exhibit will commence with a showing of selected dry paintings by registered artists in the early afternoon of Thursday, June 15,
See here the Plein Air painting by Roberta Goschke, winner of Best of Show 2022 and further supplemented with the newly submitted wet paintings through the end of the show on July 9.
A Best of Show prize will be awarded for the most accomplished painting.
There will also be a Special Recognition Award, an Honorable Mention Award, and a People’s Choice Award.
The exhibition runs 6/15 – 7/9, Thursday – Sunday 11am – 4pm.
Join us for extended hours during the Wiscasset Art Walk on Thursday, July 27, until 8pm.
The opening reception will be Saturday, June 17, 4pm to 7pm.
