Dedicated to the art and practice of gardening, education and the beautification of the Boothbay Region and the preservation and conservation of the planet Earth. BRGC meets monthly and organizes two major events: The Home and Garden Tour in July and the Festival of Trees in December.
The Boothbay Region Garden Club was organized in 1931 and federated in 1933 with The National Garden Clubs, Inc. as a non-profit group. The mission of the club is to promote interest in the art and practice of gardening, education, and the beautificationof the Boothbay Region. Our work covers public buildings with window boxes, wreaths and plants, and maintaining many public gardens in the area. Scholarships are provided for YMCA camperships and to college students who want to further their education in environmental studies. Activities for residents of the Gregory Wing at St. Andrews Village are provided by the Garden Therapy Committee. Additionally, club members assist students at our local schools with gardening projects.
We welcome new members! Anyone who is interested in gardening is invited to join the Club. For information, please email [email protected].
