The Boothbay Region Health Center is an independent, non-profit, patient-run health center that provides primary healthcare for the Boothbay Region. We are open Monday thru Saturday in the winter and 7 days a week from May through October.
Call 633-1075 for an appointment, or just walk-in.
We provide comprehensive primary care in an unrushed environment. We specialize in diagnosing difficult cases, as well as providing the most affordable care in Maine. We have complete lab facilities in-house and our testing for tick-borne diseases is very accurate. Our medical providers include Dr. Steve Cook (emergency medicine, surgery, general medicine), Dr. Alan “Chip” Teel (family medicine & geriatrics). Our seasoned Nurse Practitioners (who can treat and prescribe the same as MDs) include Brett Auclaire (family medicine, pain management, Trigger Point Therapy & substance misuse), Susan Lord (family medicine, women’s’ medicine, birth control, menopause), and Becky Traquair (family medicine, chronic care management). Our Health Coordinators–Sabryna Burns, Robyn Ham, Mirri Lyons, and Lauri Simmons–will help you navigate the health care system (insurance, referrals, lab tests, home visits, etc.)
We accept most forms of insurance and offer discounts for those without insurance if you pay at the time of service. BRHC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
