The purpose of the Lincoln Arts Festival is to preserve, support and present to the Boothbay Region the performing, visual and applied arts and humanities, and to provide opportunities for students, artists, and the general public to participate in the cultural life of midcoast Maine.
Who we are
Lincoln Arts Festival is overseen by a board of directors and interested volunteers. Over the years this group has always included a remarkable blend of talented individuals: musicians, conductor-composers, a theater owner-director and producer, a museum curator, lawyers, historians, nurses, poets, actors, doctors, editors, teachers, accountants, fudge-makers, boat captains, artists, plumbers, and business people of the community. The Board’s ever-changing diversity engenders creativity that gives the Festival structure, member-involvement, knowledge, sensitivity, a sense of priorities, direction, strength, financial support, and in the end, accomplishments.
If you like to sing, join the Lincoln Festival Chorus. If you would like to help young musicians along the way, we have an educational fund and scholarship fund which need support. If you would like to serve on our board we would love to hear from you. If you would like to be a volunteer and help with the many tasks involved during the preparation and presentation of any event we welcome your interest.
