Receptionist (Temporary)
Overview
Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences is looking to hire a temporary receptionist for the upcoming summer season. This position could be full-time or part-time, depending on candidate preference, with an ideal start date of May 15, 2022. Pay for this position starts at $16/hour.
Requirements & Responsibilities
We’re looking for somebody with good communication, interpersonal, customer-service, and organizational skills. Prior customer-service experience is preferred and work history in administration or with nonprofits would be helpful. The successful candidate will be poised and positive while interacting with a variety of people, and will have a professional demeanor and appearance. We hope to find someone who has a proactive approach to serving others, a strong work ethic and sense of teamwork, and a genuine concern for others, and has knowledge of and aptitude for basic computer processes like email, calendar management, and Microsoft Office suite.
The summer receptionist will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming area for the Laboratory, answering all general telephone and email inquiries, and some light administrative work.
